Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
WNT10B may be involved in breast cancer, and its signaling acts as a molecular switch governing adipogenesis. This protein is 96% identical to mouse Wnt10b at the amino acid level. The WNT10B gene is clustered with WNT1 on chromosome 12q13.
