Target Information
TLR7 is a highly conserved membrane protein belonging to the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, containing 27 leucine-rich repeats (LRR) and a TIR domain.
It plays a key role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity.
TLR7 is activated by single-stranded RNA viruses such as influenza and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV).
It is mainly expressed in the lung, placenta, and spleen, and located near TLR8.
TLR7 signals through MyD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-κB activation, cytokine secretion, and inflammatory responses.
It recognizes pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and mediates cytokine production essential for effective immunity.
