Target Information
Adenylate kinase는 세포 내 아데닌 뉴클레오타이드의 조성을 조절하는 효소로, 아데닌 뉴클레오타이드 간의 인산기 전이 반응을 촉매합니다. 척추동물에서 AK1, AK2, AK3의 세 가지 이소효소가 확인되었으며, AK1은 골격근, 뇌, 적혈구의 세포질에 존재합니다. AK2와 AK3는 간 및 심장 등 다른 조직의 미토콘드리아에 존재합니다. AK1 유전자의 돌연변이는 효소의 촉매 활성을 감소시켜 구형이 아닌 용혈성 빈혈(nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia)을 유발하는 희귀 유전 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
