Product Specific Information

The MIH1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human B7-H1, also known as PD-L1. B7-H1, a member of the B7 family, has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa and belongs to the Ig superfamily. It is expressed on a majority of leukocytes and acts as a ligand for PD-1. Interaction of PD-1 with PD-L1 or PD-L2 results in inhibition of T and B cell responses. MIH1 is reported to be a blocking antibody.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL final volume, with cell numbers ranging from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Fluorophore Information:
eFluor® 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue®, excited at 405 nm and emitting at 445 nm. Ensure instrument compatibility with Violet laser detection.

Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds PD-1, negatively regulating T-cell receptor signaling. PD-L1 engagement decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. Expression is abundant in murine and human cancers and upregulated by IFN-gamma, suggesting a role in tumor immune evasion.
