Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human TARC (CCL17). The anti-Human TARC (CCL17)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hTARC by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human TARC (500-P97) as a capture antibody, detection sensitivity reaches 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant hTARC.

Western Blot:
For detection of hTARC by Western blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. In combination with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant hTARC is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under both reducing and non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

TARC ligand (CCL17) is a member of the CC chemokine family. It is a small cytokine encoded on the q arm of human chromosome 16, along with other chemokines. TARC binds specifically to T cells and interacts with chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR8. It plays an essential role in T cell development in the thymus and in the trafficking and activation of mature T cells.
