Target Information
TCF4 (Transcription Factor 4) is a basic helix-turn-helix transcription factor that recognizes the E-box (CANNTG) binding site, initially identified in immunoglobulin enhancers. It is predominantly expressed in pre-B-cells, but also found in other tissues. Mutations in this gene are associated with Pitt-Hopkins syndrome.
