Target Information
TCF4 (Transcription Factor 4) is a basic helix-turn-helix transcription factor that recognizes an E-box (CANNTG) binding site, first identified in immunoglobulin enhancers. It is predominantly expressed in pre-B cells but also found in other tissues. Mutations in this gene are associated with Pitt-Hopkins syndrome.
