OPA1-15590 antibody has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry procedures. By IHC, it detects the macrophage-stimulating 1 receptor (MST1R/Ron) in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human tissues.
Target Information
MST1R (RON) is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in cell proliferation and motility. It forms a membrane-spanning, disulfide-linked heterodimer from cleavage of a glycosylated precursor into 35-kD (alpha) and 150-kD (beta) subunits. Ligand binding induces tyrosine phosphorylation of the beta chain. MST1R/RON gene is mapped to 3p21, a region frequently mutated in small cell lung and renal carcinoma, and is implicated in epithelial cancer progression. Expression is documented in many normal human tissues, including colon, mouth, prostate, and testis, as well as in various cancers.
