Target Information
MettL7A belongs to the methyltransferase superfamily and is a probable methyltransferase. Methyltransferases transfer a methyl group from a donor to an acceptor molecule, often acting on nucleic acids or proteins. DNA methylation plays a key role in gene regulation and embryonic development. Abnormal methylation of tumor suppressor genes can contribute to tumorigenesis and metastasis.
