• Description: Rat IgG2b monoclonal antibody useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse spleen cells. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorophore Characteristics: PE-eFluor® 610 is excited by 488–561 nm lasers and emits at 607 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 band pass (PE-Texas Red® equivalent).
• Light Sensitivity: Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect from light.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal loss of brightness.
• Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Rat IgG2b encodes the immunoglobulin G2b (IgG2b) subclass of rat antibodies, a major component of the rat immune response. It neutralizes pathogens and promotes opsonization. Commonly used in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and Western blotting.
