Product Specific Information
This 3DS223H monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD223 (LAG-3), a 70-kDa surface glycoprotein belonging to the Ig superfamily with homology to CD4. LAG-3 binds MHC class II with higher affinity than CD4 and negatively regulates T cell activation and proliferation. It is expressed on activated T cells (including regulatory T cells) and NK cells, with CD8+ T cells typically showing higher expression levels.

Fluorophore Information:
PE-eFluor® 610 is excited at 488–561 nm and emits at 607 nm. Recommended band pass filter: 610/20 (PE-Texas Red® equivalent).

Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57) up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.

Target Information
LAG-3 is a 70-kDa surface glycoprotein in the Ig superfamily with homology to CD4. It binds MHC class II with high affinity and is involved in negative regulation of T cell activation and homeostatic proliferation. Expressed on activated T cells (including regulatory T cells) and NK cells; CD8+ T cells express higher levels than CD4+ T cells. Coexpression of LAG-3 and CD49b identifies Type 1 regulatory T cells (Tr1).
