VELP ARE 5 Hot Plate Stirrer
Easy-to-use, Safe and Designed to Last
The ARE 5 Hotplate Stirrer has been a trusted choice since 1983 for basic heating and stirring laboratory requirements. It is widely used in universities, research centers, and industrial laboratories worldwide.
The 135 mm diameter aluminum alloy top plate ensures excellent temperature uniformity and optimal heat transfer across the surface.
Two illuminated indicators inform the operator when heating is active. The icon remains lit when the plate temperature exceeds 50°C, even if the instrument is switched off.
Internal electronic components are protected by an insulating disk and a robust die-cast aluminum housing, allowing the ARE 5 to withstand demanding laboratory environments, including operations with cold media (below 0°C).
The ARE 5 is IP42 certified and backed by a 3-year warranty (online registration required).
Consistent Stirring and Heating Performance for General Lab Applications
The ARE 5 features a powerful brushless motor suitable for everyday laboratory stirring up to 15 liters (H₂O).
- Left knob: temperature adjustment up to 310°C
- Right knob: stirring speed control from 100 to 1500 rpm
Equipped with VELP-engineered SpeedServo™ torque compensation technology, it maintains a constant stirring speed even when the viscosity of the medium changes.
