Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
6-Phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (PGD) is the second dehydrogenase in the pentose phosphate pathway. Deficiency of this enzyme is generally asymptomatic, with autosomal dominant inheritance. Hemolysis can occur when deficiencies of 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase and 6-phosphogluconolactonase coexist, suggesting synergistic effects of the two enzymopathies.
