Target Information
Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO)는 막 결합 당단백질로, 갑상선의 정상적인 기능에 필수적인 효소입니다. 이 단백질은 티로글로불린 내 티로신 잔기의 요오드화 및 요오드화된 티로신 간의 결합을 촉매하여 티록신(T4)과 트리요오드티로닌(T3)과 같은 갑상선 호르몬을 생성합니다.
TPO 유전자 변이는 선천성 갑상선 기능저하증, 선천성 갑상선종, 갑상선 호르몬 합성 결함 IIA 등 다양한 질환과 관련이 있습니다. 여러 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 일부는 전체 길이가 확정되지 않았습니다.
