Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Optineurin is a coiled-coil containing protein that may play a role in normal-tension glaucoma and adult-onset primary open-angle glaucoma. It interacts with adenovirus E3-14.7K protein and may mediate apoptosis, inflammation, or vasoconstriction via TNF-alpha or Fas-ligand pathways. Optineurin also participates in cellular morphogenesis, membrane and vesicle trafficking, and transcription activation through interactions with RAB8, huntingtin, and transcription factor IIIA. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.
