Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 2D3 reacts with CD47, also known as integrin-associated protein (IAP) and neurophilin.
CD47 is a glycosylated five-transmembrane protein involved in adhesion through interactions with SIRP (signal regulator protein) and integrins (CD51/CD61, CD41/CD61).
It mediates bi-directional signaling, influences neural synaptic activity, and regulates macrophage phagocytosis.
CD47 acts as a receptor for thrombospondin and is expressed in most hematopoietic cells (T cells, B cells, monocytes, platelets, erythrocytes) and various non-hematopoietic cells.

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (1 µg) per test.
A test is defined as staining a cell sample in 100 µL final volume (cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

CD47 (Integrin-associated protein, IAP) is a ubiquitously expressed transmembrane glycoprotein interacting with integrins and regulating their functions.
It modulates signaling pathways involving heterotrimeric G proteins and intracellular calcium increase upon cell adhesion.
CD47 serves as a receptor for thrombospondin and plays roles in membrane transport and signal transduction.
It prevents phagocytosis of CD47-positive cells via interaction with CD172a (SIRPα) and influences cell migration, B cell adhesion, T cell activation, and neuronal development.
