6x His tag는 6개의 연속된 히스티딘 잔기(HHHHHH)로 구성된 합성 올리고 펩타이드입니다. 이 태그는 재조합 단백질의 N- 또는 C-말단에 부착되어 금속 친화 크로마토그래피(IMAC)를 통한 단백질 정제에 사용됩니다.
His 태그 단백질은 히스티딘 클러스터의 금속 결합 특성을 이용하여 Ni²⁺-NTA 흡착체를 통한 선택적 단백질 정제가 가능합니다.
His tag-specific 항체는 태그 단백질의 검출 및 공동면역침전(co-immunoprecipitation)에 활용됩니다.
