EZH2 (Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase)는 Polycomb-group (PcG) 단백질군에 속하며, 유전자 전사 억제 상태를 세포 세대에 걸쳐 유지하는 복합체를 형성합니다. 이 단백질은 배아외배엽 발달 단백질, VAV1 온코단백질, X-연관 핵 단백질 등과 상호작용하며, 조혈계 및 중추신경계 발달에 관여할 수 있습니다. EZH2 유전자의 돌연변이는 Weaver 증후군(WVS)을 유발할 수 있습니다.
