Target Information
ATP7A (Copper-transporting ATPase 1)는 구리 이온을 세포 내외로 운반하는 막 단백질로, 장과 신장에서 구리 흡수 및 재흡수에 중요한 역할을 합니다. Polarized epithelial cells (예: Madin-Darby canine kidney cells)은 구리 대사 연구의 유효한 모델로 사용됩니다.
ATP7A는 대부분의 정상 조직에서는 발현되지 않지만, 여러 종양 조직에서 높은 발현을 보이며, ATP7A의 과발현은 시스플라틴 및 카보플라틴에 대한 내성을 유도할 수 있습니다.
ATP7A 유전자의 돌연변이는 Menkes disease를 유발하며, 이는 유아기 치명적 질환입니다.
