Target Information
FOXO1, FOXO3, and FOXO4 belong to the forkhead family of transcription factors.
- FOXO1 (FKHR): 70 kDa protein acting as coactivator or corepressor of nuclear receptor activity through the LXXLL motif in its C-terminus.
- FOXO3: Functions as a trigger for apoptosis via expression of cell death-related genes; translocation with MLL gene linked to secondary acute leukemia.
- FOXO4: Regulates insulin signaling by binding to insulin-response elements (IREs) and activating transcription of IGFBP1; down-regulates HIF1A expression and suppresses hypoxia-induced transcriptional activation.
