Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 80M2 recognizes both the membrane-bound and soluble forms of TNF-RII. It is a non-agonistic receptor modulating antibody that enhances in vitro TNF-alpha responses by increasing the affinity of the soluble form of TNF-alpha for TNF-RII.

Target Information

TNFR2 (tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1B) is a receptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-alpha and lower affinity for TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-alpha. The TRAF1/TRAF2 complex recruits apoptotic suppressors BIRC2 and BIRC3 to TNFRSF1B/TNFR2. TNFR2 mediates most metabolic effects of TNF-alpha.
