Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human ICAM-2 and recombinant rat ICAM-1, and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse VCAM-1, ICAM-5, and ICAM-1 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
ICAM-2 (Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 2) is a member of the ICAM family, which are type I transmembrane glycoproteins containing multiple immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains. ICAM-2 binds to leukocyte adhesion protein LFA-1 and may play a role in lymphocyte recirculation by blocking LFA-1-dependent adhesion. It mediates adhesive interactions essential for antigen-specific immune responses, NK-cell mediated clearance, and immune surveillance.
Several transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified. Diseases associated with ICAM2 include Colon Carcinoma In Situ.
