Product Specific Information

This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:

  • Superior specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to large rabbit immune repertoire

This antibody shows specificity for Human ULBP2.

Target Information

ULBP2 encodes a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-related molecule that binds to the NKG2D receptor on natural killer (NK) cells. This interaction triggers cytokine and chemokine release, promoting NK cell recruitment and activation. The mature protein may be membrane-anchored via a glycosylphosphatidylinositol moiety or secreted.

Many malignant cells secrete ULBP2 to evade NK cell-mediated immunosurveillance. The ULBP2 gene is located within a cluster of MHC class I-related genes on chromosome 6.
