The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Adenylate cyclase 5/6 encodes a member of the membrane-bound adenylyl cyclase enzymes. These enzymes mediate G protein-coupled receptor signaling through synthesis of the second messenger cAMP. The encoded protein’s activity is stimulated by the Gs alpha subunit and inhibited by protein kinase A, calcium, and Gi alpha subunits. Polymorphisms in this gene may be associated with low birth weight and type 2 diabetes. Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms.
