Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during various stages of the cell cycle—late G1, S, G2, and M phases. It associates with euchromatin at the perichromosomal layer, centromeric heterochromatin, and nucleolus through its forkhead-associated (FHA) domain.
Ki-67 expression varies by cell cycle phase: perinucleolar at G1, nuclear matrix at G2, and chromosomal during M phase.
It serves as a proliferation marker since it is absent in G0 cells but increases from G1 through mitosis.
Ki-67 antibodies are valuable for determining the proliferative fraction in neoplasms, with prognostic significance comparable to thymidine-labelling index.
Low Ki-67 index correlates with low-grade tumors.
Commonly used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
