Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin and is distributed in a cell cycle-dependent manner—perinucleolar in G1, nuclear matrix in G2, and chromosomal during M phase.
Ki-67 is widely used as a proliferation marker since it is absent in G0 cells and increases from G1 through mitosis. It aids in determining the growth fraction of neoplasms, correlating with tumor grade and prognosis. Commonly used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
