Target Information

Nerve Growth Factor (NGF)는 다양한 신경세포 및 비신경세포의 생존과 분화를 조절합니다. NGF는 세포 표면의 고친화성(high affinity) 및 저친화성(low affinity) 수용체에 결합하며, 신호 전달은 고친화성 수용체를 통해 이루어집니다.
Rat PC12 세포에서 125I-NGF 교차결합 연구 결과, 고친화성 수용체는 Mr 158,000 복합체를, 저친화성 수용체는 Mr 100,000 복합체를 형성함이 확인되었습니다.
Human 및 Rat NGF 수용체 유전자 염기서열은 90% 이상의 상동성을 보입니다.
NGF는 신경 성장 촉진 활성을 가지며, 교감 및 특정 감각 신경의 성장과 분화를 조절합니다. 또한 NGF 유전자 변이는 HSAN5 (Hereditary Sensory and Autonomic Neuropathy type 5)와 관련이 있으며, NGF 발현의 이상은 알레르기성 비염과 연관되어 있습니다.
