Target Information
Nerve Growth Factor (NGF)는 다양한 신경 및 비신경 세포의 생존과 분화를 조절하는 단백질입니다. NGF는 세포 표면 수용체에 결합하며, 고친화성(high affinity) 수용체만이 신호 전달을 수행합니다.
Rat PC12 세포에서 125I-NGF 교차결합 연구 결과, 고친화성 수용체는 Mr 158,000 복합체를, 저친화성 수용체는 Mr 100,000 복합체를 형성합니다.
Human과 Rat NGF receptor 유전자 사이에는 90% 이상의 상동성이 존재합니다.
NGF는 신경 성장 자극 활성과 함께 교감 및 감각 뉴런의 성장과 분화를 조절하며, NGF 유전자 변이는 HSAN5(hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy type 5)와 관련이 있습니다. 또한 NGF 발현의 이상은 알레르기성 비염과 관련되어 있습니다.
