Product Specific Information

The L17F12 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD5, a 67 kDa protein expressed by most thymocytes, mature T cells, and a subset of B cells. Signaling through CD5 activates T cells and mediates T-B interactions via CD72 binding.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells
  • Use at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume)
  • Suitable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple Super Bright conjugates, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

CD5 is a 67 kDa human T-lymphocyte transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on most thymocytes and mature T cells, as well as subsets of activated B cells. It plays a role in regulating T-cell proliferation and is associated with T-cell leukemias, lymphomas, and thymus cancer. In lymph nodes, CD5 reactivity is mainly observed in T cell areas.
