EEF1E1 유전자는 세포질과 핵 모두에 존재하는 다기능 단백질을 암호화합니다. 세포질에서는 아미노아실-tRNA 합성효소 복합체의 보조 구성요소로 작용하며, DNA 손상 시 핵으로 이동하여 ATM/ATR 매개 p53 활성화를 촉진하는 역할을 합니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 전사체 변이가 생성됩니다.
