Product Specific Information

Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water. After reconstitution, store product undiluted at 4ºC in the dark.
For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.

Target Information

Cluster of differentiation 8 (CD8) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin family, crucial for T cell signal transduction, differentiation, and activation.
CD8 is mainly expressed on T cells as a heterodimer of CD8α and CD8β, functioning as a co-receptor with TCR for MHC class I molecules.
It can also appear as CD8α homodimers on subsets of T cells, NK cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells.
Binding of MHC-I/peptide complexes triggers Lck kinase recruitment, leading to cytokine production and cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) activation, essential for pathogen and tumor clearance.
Differentiation of naive CD8+ T cells into CTLs is enhanced by IL-2, IL-12, and TGF-β1.
