This antibody detects endogenous levels of CDC25C only when phosphorylated at Serine 216.
Target Information
M-phase inducer phosphatase 3 is an enzyme encoded by the CDC25C gene in humans. This gene is highly conserved and plays a critical role in regulating cell division. The encoded protein is a tyrosine phosphatase belonging to the Cdc25 family, responsible for dephosphorylating cyclin B-bound CDC2 (CDK1) to trigger mitosis. It may also suppress p53-induced growth arrest. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, though many are not fully characterized.
