Target Information
B cell linker protein (BLNK) is encoded by the Blnk gene on human chromosome 10 and is also known as SLP-65 (Src homology 2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 65 kDa). BLNK functions as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor (BCR) signaling cascade. It undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation by Syk kinase, providing a platform for interaction with signaling intermediates such as Vav GEF and Grb2. Deficiency of BLNK leads to improper B cell development.
