Target Information

BRCA1 (breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility protein 1)은 핵 인산화 단백질로, 유전체 안정성 유지에 중요한 역할을 하며 다른 종양 억제 단백질, DNA 손상 감지 단백질 및 신호 전달 인자들과 함께 BASC(BRCA1 associated genome surveillance complex) 복합체를 형성합니다.
BRCA1은 RNA polymerase II 및 histone deacetylase 복합체와 상호작용하여 전사, 이중가닥 DNA 절단 복구 및 재조합 과정에 관여합니다.
BRCA1 유전자의 돌연변이는 유전성 유방암의 약 40%, 유전성 유방 및 난소암의 80% 이상과 관련되어 있습니다. 다양한 전사체 변이체가 보고되었으며, 일부는 질병 관련 돌연변이로 알려져 있습니다.
