This peptide corresponds to 14 amino acids near the carboxy terminus of human ECSIT.
PEP-0200 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20082.

Target Information

Activation of NF-kappa-B as a result of Toll-like receptor (TLR) and IL-1 receptor signaling is a major component of innate immune responses. Signals from these receptors are relayed by adapter molecules such as TRIF, TIRAP, and MyD88 to kinases (e.g., IRAK) and intermediates such as TNF receptor associated factor (TRAF)-6.
ECSIT (evolutionarily conserved signaling intermediate in Toll pathways) was initially identified as a cytoplasmic protein interacting specifically with TRAF6 in the TLR pathway.
ECSIT is also required for bone morphogenetic protein (Bmp) signaling and mesoderm formation during mouse embryogenesis, suggesting possible cross-talk between the TLR/IL-1B and Bmp signaling pathways.
