Target Information
BST2 (CD317, HM1.24 antigen, DAMP-2, tetherin)은 B세포의 발달 및 성장에 관여하는 막단백질입니다. BST2는 fibroblast 세포주에서 DW34 전B세포의 성장에 기여하며, B세포 발달 단계(전구세포부터 형질세포까지), T세포, 단핵구, NK세포, 수지상세포 및 골수종 세포에서 높은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
BST2는 인간 세포에서 레트로바이러스 방출을 억제하는 역할을 하며, HIV-1의 보조 단백질 Vpu에 의해 길항됩니다. BST2의 결핍은 바이러스 방출에 대한 Vpu의 요구를 제거하여 HIV/AIDS 치료 전략에 잠재적 가능성을 제시합니다.
BST2 기능 이상은 구내염(stomatitis)과도 관련이 있습니다.
