Target Information

Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it forms the nucleosome structure that organizes DNA. Histones are central to transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influencing chromatin structure and gene expression.
