Target Information
Ubiquitin hydrolase that removes conjugated ubiquitin from AXIN1 and AXIN2, regulating the Wnt signaling pathway. Acts as an activator downstream of the beta-catenin destruction complex by deubiquitinating and stabilizing AXIN1 and AXIN2. Promotes nuclear accumulation of AXIN1/AXIN2 and positively regulates beta-catenin (CTNBB1)-mediated transcription. Recognizes and hydrolyzes the peptide bond at the C-terminal Gly of ubiquitin and is involved in processing poly-ubiquitin precursors and ubiquitinated proteins.
