CD15 (Lewis X, Le(x); stage specific embryonic antigen-1, SSEA-1)은 삼당체 결정기(3-fucosyl-N-acetyllactosamine)로, 다양한 세포 유형(예: 호중구, 비만세포, 단핵구, 대식세포, 위 점막 세포, 신경계 세포, 종양 세포 등)의 당지질, 당단백질, 프로테오글리칸에 발현됩니다.
Lewis X에는 sialyl-Lewis X 또는 sulphated Lewis X와 같은 여러 변형체가 존재합니다. Le(x) 항원의 표면 발현이 높은 세포는 칼슘 의존적인 Le(x)-Le(x) 상호작용을 기반으로 강한 자가응집성을 보입니다. 이 과정은 배아 응집 또는 기형암 세포의 자가응집과 관련이 있습니다.
Sialyl-Le(x) 및 그 이성질체 sialyl-Le(a)는 셀렉틴(selectin)의 리간드로 작용합니다. CD15 발현은 Hodgkin 병 진단 확인에 널리 사용됩니다.
