Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65, also known as RelA, belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits. Activation occurs via TNF alpha receptor-mediated phosphorylation of IKK, leading to IκB degradation and NF-kB nuclear translocation. NF-kB p65 plays a key role in transcriptional regulation, particularly in immunoglobulin kappa gene expression in mature B-lymphoid cells.
