Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Lutheran blood group glycoprotein (BCAM/CD239) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and a receptor for laminin.
It contains five extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a single transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic tail.
This protein may play a role in epithelial cell cancer and vaso-occlusion of red blood cells in sickle cell disease.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
