Target Information
IL-23R is a 629 amino acid subunit of the receptor for cytokine IL23A/IL23, which pairs with IL12RB1 (IL12R beta 1) and participates in IL23A signaling.
Signal transduction analysis shows association with Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) and ligand-dependent binding to STAT3.
Alternative splicing results in six isoforms of IL-23R.
It plays an important role in psoriasis pathogenesis and is a potential therapeutic target in inflammatory bowel disease.
