Target Information

HLA-DMB (major histocompatibility complex, class II, DM beta), also known as D6S221E, RING7, HLA-DM histocompatibility type, beta chain, HLADMB or RING7, is a protein encoded by the HLA-DMB gene in humans, located on chromosome 6p21.32.
HLA-DMB belongs to the HLA class II beta chain paralogues and forms a heterodimer with an alpha (DMA) chain. This molecule is located in intracellular vesicles and plays a central role in peptide loading of MHC class II molecules by facilitating release of the CLIP peptide.
The beta chain is approximately 26–28 kDa and encoded by six exons. HLA-DMA and HLA-DMB form a functional heterodimer essential for class II antigen presentation.

HLA and MHC antibodies are critical in Immunopeptidomics, aiding in identification and characterization of neoantigens through HPLC coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
