This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The Syntenin 1 protein is a cytoplasmic adaptor molecule that links syndecan-mediated signaling to the cytoskeleton. It contains tandem PDZ domains that interact with the C-terminal domains of various transmembrane proteins. Syntenin 1 is involved in cytoskeletal organization, cell adhesion, protein trafficking, and transcription factor activation. It localizes mainly to membrane-associated adherens junctions and focal adhesions, but is also present at the endoplasmic reticulum and nucleus. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
