Target Information
CD11a (LFA-1 alpha, ITGAL)는 CD18과 함께 leukocyte function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1, αLβ2 integrin)을 구성합니다.
CD11a는 LFA-1 복합체의 활성화에 관여하며, ICAM-1, -2, -3과의 상호작용을 통해 백혈구 간의 부착 및 신호전달에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
또한 림프구의 공동자극 신호, 세포 분화 및 증식 조절, T 세포의 효과기 기능에도 관여합니다.
CD11a 기능 억제는 염증성 질환 치료의 중요한 접근법으로, 예를 들어 인간화 항-CD11a 항체 Efalizumab(Raptiva)은 염증 부위로의 T 세포 이동을 억제하는 데 사용됩니다.
또한 simvastatin은 CD11a의 allosteric site에 결합하여 면역 조절 및 림프구성 콜린활성 증가를 유도합니다.
CD11a의 두 가지 전사 변이체가 존재하며, 관련 질환으로는 benign cephalic histiocytosis와 leukocyte adhesion deficiency가 보고되었습니다.
