Target Information
CDH4는 cadherin superfamily에 속하는 classical cadherin으로, 칼슘 의존적 세포 간 접착을 담당하는 glycoprotein입니다. 5개의 extracellular cadherin repeat, transmembrane 영역, 그리고 highly conserved cytoplasmic tail로 구성되어 있습니다.
닭과 생쥐 연구에서 CDH4는 뇌 분절 및 신경 성장에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 신장 및 근육 발달에도 관여합니다.
또한 cadherin 2와 4의 안정적인 cis-heterodimer 형성이 보고되었으며, 이는 cadherin 간 이종이합체 형성의 첫 증거로 제시되었습니다.
