Product Specific Information
Description:
The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. It plays a role in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, and associates with B2 integrins CD11a/CD11b. The ligand for Ly-6G is currently unknown.
Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended use ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best performance.
Fluorochrome Characteristics:
APC-eFluor 780 emits at 780 nm and is excited by the red laser (633–647 nm). Ensure the instrument supports this fluorochrome.
Light Sensitivity:
Tandem dye sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information
Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D):
Component of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1, together with Ly6C. Molecular weight ~21–25 kDa, expressed by myeloid-derived cells in bone marrow. Marker for peripheral neutrophils, monocytes, and granulocytes. Expression correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. Involved in anti-tumor response and may inhibit local immune responses through neutrophil interaction.
