PIK3C3 (hVPS34)는 PI3 Kinase 계열의 유일한 class III 멤버로, phosphatidylinositol (PI)을 인산화하여 phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate [PI(3)P]를 생성합니다. 이 과정은 FYVE 및 Phox 도메인을 가진 하위 인자들을 막으로 유도합니다.
PIK3C3는 영양 신호를 mTOR과 연결하고, 오토파지 및 세포 내 수송에 관여합니다. 또한 분해성 엔도사이토시스 경로의 조절, 세포질 분열의 절단 단계(PI3KC3-C2 복합체 관련), 리소좀 효소 전구체의 수송 및 초기에서 후기 엔도좀으로의 이동에 필수적입니다.
