MA3-413 detects heat shock cognate protein 70 kDa (HSC70)-interacting protein (Hip) from human, mouse, chicken, and rabbit samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects a 48 kDa protein representing Hip from rabbit reticulocyte lysate.
The MA3-413 antigen is recombinant human Hip protein.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is an adaptor protein that mediates the association of the heat shock proteins HSP70 and HSP90.
It is involved in the assembly process of the glucocorticoid receptor, which requires the assistance of multiple molecular chaperones.
Expression of this gene is reported to be downregulated in colorectal carcinoma tissue, suggesting it may be a candidate tumor suppressor gene.
