Target Information
The CDC45 protein is homologous to Saccharomyces cerevisiae Cdc45, essential for DNA replication initiation.
It forms part of a conserved multiprotein complex with Cdc6/Cdc18, MCMs, and DNA polymerase, crucial for early eukaryotic DNA replication steps.
CDC45 interacts with MCM7 and DNA polymerase alpha and plays a key role in loading DNA polymerase alpha onto chromatin.
Multiple polyadenylation sites are reported for this gene.
